Birthing of a Vision

James, Marty & BJ, all gathered together in their backyard and prayed for the studio which they believed the Lord wanted them to have. However, they thought it was going to be a building just outside of their house, so they staked out a 24' by 30' span, and prayed over it. As they were praying, Marty's brother ran out of the house yelling this: Come quick, the bathroom is leaking water, and it isn't even raining!

Well, Marty & James and BJ went and looked and sure enough, the bathroom ceiling was pouring water and it hadn't rained in days. To understand this, we need to back up just a little. Marty's roof had been leaking for years and Marty had no money to repair it, so it was a bucket brigade each time it rained.

One day when it had rained really bad, Marty slid down in her bathroom, with the rain just dripping on her face, and she had barely missed a cabinet by only an inch with her head. She was totally exasperted, lying there on the floor with rain & TEARS all mixing together, in despair when she cried out to the Lord: Lord, YOU ARE GOD, and if you created the UNIVERSE, surely you can give me a new roof! She then proceeded to get up off the floor.

She went into the living room and sat down, pulling herself together. Then she heard the Holy Spirit whisper to her spirit: A new roof, but WHAT ABOUT THE STUDIO?
Then Marty understood that the Lord was telling her that He could indeed DO Both a new roof AND a studio!

So, standing there outside praying for the studio only, the Lord let it leak miraculously when there was NO RAIN, just to remind them to ALSO pray for the ROOF along with the studio. So, they came back outside and prayed for the new roof AND the studio!

Thinking the new studio was a separate building, the night after they had prayed outside all holding hands, in a dream Marty was told that "The Studio is inside your house..." by the Lord. Knowing this new knowledge, that next day they moved all the furniture out of the bedroom and moved into a smaller room, making that old bedroom the place for the NEW STUDIO. They began preparing by cutting out a window and whatever small amts. of construction they could afford. They moved IN FAITH, already preparing the ROOM for the studio. In the meantime, they kept praying, and about 9 months later, Marty had a dream where the Lord appeared and entered into the studio and saw what little equipment they were using! Then he seemed to inspect the studio as if He were going to invest or finance it. 2 weeks after that dream, Marty's husband James received a settlement which financed not ONLY the new studio, and all the new 24 track equipment, but a NEW ROOF and new siding on the house too!

God did OVER and above, but they did not sit on their haunches just waiting, they got busy doing what they COULD to prepare with what little they had! They MADE ROOM for their miracle, and God fulfilled the vision!

This is a multitalented guitar picker, let me tell you folks! He also plays banjo, ukelele, and many other stringed instruments. When he plays onstage, with ANY band, there has not been a time that you won't hear folks sit up, listen and say: WHO IS THAT GUITAR PLAYER? He has a true gift from God, and his talent goes beyond that of a normal "Good" guitar player! God has GIFTED DON, and yet he is one of the most HUMBLE guitar players we have ever met, and has a true "servants" heart. We are proud to have Don as the guitar player for In Faith Studios.
